Didn't find this anywhere on GWG so....

--Blizzard lost some key people in the 3 founders of Arena.net but Patrick Wyatt one of the founders of Arena.net was a Vice President of R&D at Blizzard. He had to really believe in what he was doing next to leave such a well paying position, with executive benefits.

--Scott Robinson was a contributing animater for Disney's Atlantis too!

--As far as the marketing and having a wise marketing personw ith good contacts, Chris Chung must be a marketing genius. Gallup doesn't fund people easily, and this was funding a foreign marketing company. Only someone who can teach gallup a thing or two will get any of their money for a foreign investment.

--One more, Stephen Hwang, has been designing levels for LucasArts.

--I am merely pointing out from a cursory look at say the top 30 people listed, GuildWars has some insanely deep experience behind it and that's not including Michael O'Brien and Jeff Strain.

Anyway I posted in case anyone else wanted to know.

i dread to think how intelligent these people must be... all that damn code... i find it hard enough to just imagine the coding behind most of the stuff. makes me feel really small lol

What got me is scrolling down the list. So many people! No wonder the game is attracting alot of attention. It is real competition that defies the "laws" of the online gaming industry, probably more accurate to describe as the "International Online Gaming Cartel." hehehe

If that kind of resume doesn't impress then I don't know what will. Makes you wonder how they feel when they read all the "feedback" from these forums.
